Our journey began in 1899 with Joseph and Maria Hipp, new parents who faced the challenge of feeding their twin babies. Their inventive solution helped the babies successfully feed, so they shared it with other parents, and the HiPP family’s mission to support parents was born.
Over 125 years later, Joseph and Maria’s great grandson Stefan Hipp continues their mission: bringing peace of mind to parents through quality products, expert advice, and a commitment to doing the best for nature.

Organic farming
Organic farming is more than just a choice – it’s who we are. Since 1956, when Georg Hipp was inspired by Dr. Hans Muller's theory that farming without chemical fertilisers or pesticides was better for both babies and the environment, HiPP has embraced the philosophy: “The best for nature, the best from nature.” That’s why we go beyond the EU (and UK) requirements for certification and set new standards in the quality of organic produce to ensure your little one gets the very best.
