Georgia

Georgia lies on the eastern shores of the Black Sea, on the border between Europe and Asia, and is mostly mountainous. The Greater Caucasus forms the northern border and the Lesser Caucasus forms the southern border. In between there is the Kura-Aras Basin with its many rivers. The climate at the Black Sea and in the nearby coastal regions is subtropical. In the east of the country the climate is continental with little precipitation but with strong temperature fluctuations. The most important agricultural lands are in the Kura-Aras Basin. Vegetables are grown here, but also fruit such as the HiPP Organic apples, which find optimal growing conditions here.
